Early Plans For 'National Fan Alliance'
The first time plans for a National K-pop Fan Alliance in Singapore were mooted can be traced back to 4 May 2025 when the then-SKMA Chairman to-be Jared Ong posted stories discussing about the silencing of former VCHA member KG.
In one of those stories, he said: "I think it's clear that we need more national fandom alliances who can together provide a strong voice for their favourite idols."
Ousting of Ong from BABYMONSTER ᱬ SINGAPORE Telegram Chat and Formation of SKMA
On 19 May 2025, at around 7 in the morning, Jared Ong was ousted from the BABYMONSTER ᱬ SINGAPORE chat. The chat owner cited that discussion of politics and other fandoms were banned. The owners of the chat's reason for banning discussion of politics was due to minors being inside the chat and the reason for banning discussion of other fandoms being to prevent starting a fanwar that would be 'very hard to calm down.'
The ban left a sour taste in Ong's mouth and around 6 and a half hours later, the Singapore K-pop Multistan Association (SKMA) was established.
In the launch statement by Ong titled: Why I Am Establishing The Singapore K-pop Multistan Association (SKMA), Ong had cited his ousting from the BABYMONSTER ᱬ SINGAPORE Telegram chat and said that 'he was disappointed that the admins of the fanbase do not do anything to allow Monstiez (Babymonster Fans) to keep themselves and each other updated about current affairs'. He also said that Monstiez should keep themselves updated about fandom issues, this a reference to Ong discussing about the hate train against IVE's Jang Wonyoung, which was the reason why he was removed from the BABYMONSTER ᱬ SINGAPORE chat on the pretext of discussing about other fandoms.
After explaining the reasons for creating SKMA, Ong then listed down 3 goals of the SKMA. They were:
1) Ensure that K-pop fans are not isolated within their communities and have adequate access to information from outside their fandom.
2) Ensure that K-pop fan's voices continue to be heard even after Ong's removal from the BabyMonster Singapore fanbase Telegram chat
3) Encourage all Singaporean fandoms to unite and bring harmony throughout the entire Singaporean K-pop fan community.
After listing down the SKMA's goals, Ong then explained that before his ousting from the BabyMonster Singapore fanbase Telegram chat, he was halfway through his campaign to call for answers to why Singaporean Monstiez had lesser send-off party privileges when compared to send-off parties of other countries. He then explained that he was also about to campaign for better transport connectivity to the Singapore Indoor Stadium and its vicinity. Singapore Indoor Stadium was the venue for the 2025 BabyMonster concert in Singapore and is also a venue for many other K-pop concerts.
After the explanation of Ong's planned activities within the Singapore Monstiez community, Ong added that even though he may no longer have a presence in the current BabyMonster Singapore fanbase, he will continue helping Monstiez to have their voices heard through the new Singapore K-pop Multistan Association (SKMA). He then added that while the SKMA is a breakaway group from the original BabyMonster Singapore fanbase, it is not just a fanbase targeted at BabyMonster fans, but a multi-group fanbase that aims to reach out to as many Singaporean fandoms as possible. He then reasoned that doing so encourages national unity within the K-pop fan community of Singapore.
To end off the statement, Ong encouraged all Singaporean K-pop fans to join him on the journey of the brand new Singapore K-pop Multistan Association (SKMA). He then added that 'SKMA is not just another random Singaporean fanbase, it is the BEST Singaporean fanbase to ever exist.'
The statement was finally closed with the phrases 'Majulah SKMA' and 'SKMA FIGHTING'.
SG❤️IVE was added into the SKMA as the president (now known as Chairman) at that time was Ong. SKMA's Central Executive Committee (CEC) was formed shortly after by nominating 3 SG❤️IVE team members and 1 former SG❤️IVE team member into the CEC. One SG❤️IVE team member was nominated to be a regular SKMA member (also known as backbencher). Stadium Rail Relief Team was also added into the SKMA as it's sole team member at that time was Ong.
Start of Park Junhwan Removal Campaign
During the formation of the SKMA, a scandal involving member of new group IDID Park Junhwan emerged. The scandal involves allegations of Park sexually assaulting minors, bullying and misogyny. This created an uproar in the international K-pop fan community.
Given the seriousness of Park's actions, SKMA immediately joined in the global campaign calling for the removal of Park Junhwan. The campaign was kick started with a statement by Chairman Ong.
Logo Creation
The logo of the SKMA was created by Chairman Ong on 19 May 2025. It features four hands over a record, symbolising unity across fandoms.
Start of Supporter Canvassing Campaign and Active Campaigning For Removal of IDID Group Member Park Junhwan
Following the completion of the SKMA logo, Ong started creating posters, some for encouraging K-pop fans to join the SKMA, although no sign-up form was available that time, and some were to call for the removal of IDID Group Member Park Junhwan. The first posters were published on the night of 19 May 2025 and the wee hours of 20 May 2025.

During the afternoon of 20 May 2025, more posters were made by Ong.
KiiiKiii Kya Protection Campaign
On the morning of 20 May 2025, news had broken out that a member of KiiiKiii, Kya was being unreasonable attacked by Chinese fans for refusing to write down the name of former Le Sserafim member Kim Garam on her hand.
Fans called for more protection for Kya immediately after the news broke out. SKMA joined in the Kya Protection campaign with their Kya Protection Campaign poster.

SKMA's Announces New Additions To The SKMA, Including 3 New Branches
On 27 May 2025, SKMA announced several additions to the SKMA. They were the planned launch of three new branches, resumption of two existing branches, and the planned launch of SKMA's community Telegram chat.
New Branches
- Launch of Singapore's first fanbases for YG Entertainment's new girl group (also known as YG Next Monster) on 28 May 2025.
- Launch of a new Le Sserafim Branch codenamed 'Project Melting' in July 2025.
- Launch of a new Babymonster Branch codenamed 'altbaemonbase.sg' in September 2025.
Existing Branches That Were Planned To Resume Progressively
- SG❤️IVE
- Stadium Rail Relief Team
In the last slide of the post, it was announced that volunteer recruitment was planned to start soon and existing K-pop fan groups in Singapore could join the SKMA soon.
On 28 May 2025, shortly after YG Entertainment announced the first member of it's planned new girl group codenamed 'YG Next Monster', Evelli, Ong established SKMA's new YG Next Monster Branch, named Next Monster Base Singapore (NMBS).

With the formation of NMBS, Ong would reorganise the administration structure of SG❤️IVE. Ong left his role of SG❤️IVE and created the new SG❤️IVE Assistant Chairman for himself. Ong appointed a SKMA vice chairperson to takeover his role as SG❤️IVE Chairman.
End of SKMA's participation in the Park Junhwan Removal Campaign
On 3 June 2025, it was reported that Park Junhwan had departed from his group, IDID. As such, SKMA released a statement regarding the matter. The statement was written by Chairman Ong and had stated that SKMA would 'reject' the official statement concerning Park Junhwan's removal by Starship Entertainment.
Announcement Of Plans To Form Hearts2Hearts Singapore (H2HSG)
On 10 June 2025, SKMA announced plans to establish Singapore's first Hearts2Hearts Singapore fanbase named Hearts2Hearts Singapore. This announcement was done via the announcement of volunteer recruitment for Hearts2Hearts Singapore on SKMA's X account.
SKMA Starts Allowing Existing K-pop Fan Groups to Join The SKMA.
On 11 June 2025, SKMA announced on its X account that it would start allowing existing K-pop fan groups in Singapore to join the SKMA.
SKMA Loses Two Members
On 10 June 2025, Chairman Ong was tipped off by a friend that two SKMA Members, known as SFM1 and SFM2 were secretly criticising the SKMA the SKMA behind Ong's back. Ong was then advised by the friend who tipped-off to not remove SFM1 and SFM2 from the SKMA first as SFM1 was suspected to be going through a mental health crisis. This was because SFM1 had on multiple occasions posted on his story cryptic messages that showed signs of a mental health crisis.
On the night of 13 June 2025, Ong lodged a report against a bus operator fleet manager and three bus enthusiasts for participating in a private misinformation campaign against Ong. The report was made as the fleet manager, known as N, abused his popularity in the Singaporean bus fan community to spread misinformation about Ong to N's supporters. N's misinformation campaign created a false impression against Ong in the Singaporean bus enthusiast community.
The police report was made public on 14 June 2025. Shortly after, pro-N supporters attacked Ong with a smear campaign, accusing Ong of defaming and slandering N even though all Ong did was to reveal the truth about N. N had made multiple false accusations against Ong in 2023 which had cause Ong emotional distress and Ong was considering suicide as a result of the false accusations.
In the evening of 14 June 2025, Ong introduced a blanket policy for all SKMA members. The new policy banned members of SKMA from supporting, riding buses of, or making any transactions with N's company. This was because N was the unofficial representative of his company within the Singapore bus fan community and Ong did not find N fit to be a representative as N, currently 29, had made false accusations against Ong when Ong was 14 and N was 27.
The new policy was met with strong opposition. SFM2 accused Ong of being childish and claimed that Ong 'did not have a case against N'. He then accused Ong of only having his anger and asked how Ong wanted to 'prove shit' when 'Ong did wrong himself', once again accusing Ong of wrongdoing even though all Ong did was to expose N's wrongdoing. SFM2 immediately left the WhatsApp chat for all SKMA members.
Immediately after SFM2's departure, SFM1 accused Ong of intending 'to get everyone into trouble' and accused Ong of having a 'selfish and childish' mindset. SFM1 then left the WhatsApp chat for all SKMA members after declaring that he would not be involved in the matter. Due to SFM1's unapproved departure, SFM1 was immediately kicked from the CEC and SKMA for refusal to comply with SKMA regulations.
Following SFM1 and SFM2's departure, SKMA would become dormant.
Start of SKMA Dormancy Following Loss Of Two Members
With the departure of two members and an ongoing smear and disinformation campaign by supporters of N, a power abuser, against Ong, SKMA would become dormant. Occasional updates on Ong's X account would be provided.
On 19 June 2025, Ong announced that he became an anti Social Oppression advocate and created End Social Oppression SG.
On 20 June 2025, Ong released a brief explanation on his X account on why Hearts2Hearts Singapore had not been launched yet even though Hearts2Hearts had already released a new track titled: 'Style'. He explained that SKMA lost 2 members due to an internal issue and some remaining members are afraid to speak up for issues of another community they are in, referring to the Singaporean bus fan community. In the comments, Ong then added that the reason for why some remaining members are afraid of speaking up for an issue in the other community was due to the fear of getting reported to the police. This was because oppression against people who told the truth was high in the other community, once again referring to the Singaporean bus fan community. He finished of his explanations with the announcement that there were plans to make changes to the internal structure of SKMA. It was a reference to a CEC structural reorganisation within the SKMA.
